Gale also favours many Australian fashion designers, including Colette Dinnigan, Kirrily Johnston, Lisa Ho, Willow and Alex Perry. Gale was also the fashion consultant for the Logies award, which is an Australian television show, from 2006. In January of 2008, Gale announced her retirement from runway modelling after 15 years. She took to the catwalk for her last moment a couple of weeks later in an David Jones winter collection launch in Sydney. Her final outfit was that of the Wonder Woman outfit she was to wear in the still-shelved movie Justice League of America. Gale returned to runways in the month of March 2011 to complete the Alex Perry's Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011. Gale also celebrated her 10th anniversary with David Jones in August 2011 which was the longest-running fashion contract that an Australian has ever had. Gale was joined by Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez as an ambassador of L'Oreal Paris in the same month. Gale made an appearance in a L'Oreal shampoo commercial in Australia, New Zealand and Italy.
